When you think of Liverpool there are two things that most likely spring into your mind: the Beatles and the football team. A lively nightlife is also what Liverpool is known for. And it has a great cultural heritage, too.

When it comes to accommodation , you can choose from guesthouses to 4-star hotels and everything in between. While there are no 5-star hotels in Liverpool, that doesn’t mean you cannot find luxury accommodation.

As in the case of any city, you’ll probably want to stay as close as possible to the city center. You might want to check out Penny Lane, too (yes, just like in the Beatles song). Generally speaking, if you are rather close to the city center and within walking distance of public transportation, it should be fine.

Manchester is located in the north west of England and is particularly known for its music scene and football. It also has a long industry history and is home to a lot of students attending its Universities.

Although much smaller than London Manchester is home to the biggest airport outside of the capital city. When it comes to finding a hotel for your stay in Manchester, it’s always a good idea to head to the city center. But you can also look for places further away. Didsbury in South Manchester is quite fashionable and a lovely area for your stay. Old Trafford is another nice area for your stay.

Hotels near Machu Picchu

When planning to visit Machu Picchu , first you need to get to Cusco , which is the gateway into the Inca historical site. If you plan to take the Inca Trail, you’ll leave from Cusco (after getting used to the high altitude for 3 to 7 days). Another option is to stay in Aguas Calientes , which is the city with where the trains from Cusco stop and from where you can either take a bus or hike to Machu Picchu. Cheap Hotels in Arequipa

Arequipa is a city located in the Southern Coastal Peru, 2,380 m above the sea level. It is surrounded by three impressive volcanoes out of which one – El Misti- can be easily hiked year-round. It is the second most popular city among travelers (after Cusco ).

Together with Puno, Cusco and Naza, it is part of the “Southern Peru Tourist Corridor”, but in contrast to the other cities, Arequipa is a good example of the Spanish and mestizo culture developed in Peru and is not home to any Inca ruins. Spanish colonial architecture can be found all over the city and the churches are a delight to visit.

Cusco (also “Cuzco”) is the most visited city in Peru thanks to being close to Machu Picchu (and other Inca sites, too) and on the railway which offers access to Lake Titicaca. But the city is also a delight to visit. The capital of the Inca Empire has a lot of colonial architecture to be proud with and is surrounded by Inca ruins.

Since the city is located 3,400 m above the sea level , altitude sickness is a problem to consider. So make sure to adjust to the altitude before you set out to explore the near-by areas. And what best way to get accustomed to the high altitude than to visit the city? For that, you’ll need a place to stay and the cheap hostels in Cusco are an excellent choice. Thankfully, hostels – although the cheap option of accommodation – are usually located either close to the sites or in excellent areas. Sure, if the District you plan to stay in is quite expensive – for example: Barranco, San Isidro or Miraflores – the hostel bed will be a bit more expensive than if you were to stay in the City Center (Old Town), but overall you’ll still get a good bargain. Regardless of the place you visit, the flight and the accommodation will make the biggest of your travel budget. And even if you don’t care about fancy facilities, a nice room with at least basic facilities is a good choice for any place we visit.

Munich might be a sophisticated city with an historic side, but it’s also a major stop on any backpacker’s European tour – not to mention the site of one of the most famous two-week-long parties on the planet – so it stands to reason that alongside the boutique hotels there are plenty of hostels in Munich.

There are several hostel options in the city center, but as is the case with most cities the best locations are usually taken up by hotels. Still, the hostels in Munich’s city center offer easy access to most of the attractions as well as public transportation to make it easy to get around. Many are located right around the main train station, the Hauptbahnhof, so it’s even easier to take day trips.

Munich is a city that caters to all budget levels and travel styles when it comes to accommodation – but if you plan to spend Oktoberfest in Munich then everything changes. Sure, the summer is the high season and you’ll pay more for a room in the summer than in the winter, but the annual Oktoberfest celebration is such a concentrated time that finding a good deal on a room or a hostel bed during those two weeks can be nothing short of a miracle. In other words, if going to Munich for Oktoberfest is on your bucket list, either save your pennies, plan to splurge, or book so far in advance that you actually get one of the more budget-friendly rooms in the city.

For the rest of the year, the historic center around the Marienplatz is a good area to target for a place to stay. Staying in this area puts you within walking distance of most of the attractions in Munich, as well as within easy reach of public transportation if you want to go further afield. The historic center may be a bit more expensive accommodation-wise than the outskirts of the city, so if you’re really on a tight budget or you’re staying longer and don’t mind going back and forth into the center often, you might try looking in the neighborhoods around the Ostbahnhof station or the University.
